Toan B. Chung received a Bachelor Degree in History/Law and Society, cum laude, from the University of California- Riverside and a Juris Doctor Degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he graduated in the top one-third of his class and received the book award for Family Law.
Toan was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan on November 4th, 2009. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
As a law student, Toan represented Cooley Law School at the prestigious National Moot Court Competition and was recognized for his work at the Access to Justice Clinic where he represented clients in divorce, custody, and support matters. Prior to joining Nye & Associates, Toan clerked for two Circuit Court judges, Hon. Daniel V. Zemaitis and Hon. Steven M. Pestka and served as a custody and parenting time evaluator for the Kent County Friend of the Court.
